Links I Love

I am loving Pinterest right now. Lydia invited me a couple weeks ago and I am really enjoying looking at everyone's little collections of dreams and pictures.

Pinterest takes the idea of craft or pin board and puts it online. Everyday when I log on, or use my Pinterest App, I see new pins that my friends have posted. The most popular things I see are recipes, decorating ideas, wedding ideas, crafts and Lydia's endless collection of Harry Potter related paraphernalia.

I'm personally trying to avoid creating boards that feature "weddings" or anything future related, like house organization or decoration ideas. I don't have a husband to marry or perfectly designed dream house to put him in. Best if I just let that lie.

But I have made collections for vintage fashion and art, travel, and cycling. All things which are relevant to my current lifestyle.

My biggest fear with Pinterest is that as people import more pins, people come along and re-pin what I have already pinned. All the unique little collections soon loose their unique-ness because everybody else likes the exact same things. So I theorize that over time Pinterest will amass some collective definition of womanhood, where all the women on it will essentially become one mind because we all possess the same taste in clothes, makeup, home decor, wedding ideas and Harry Potter.

I still love it though, it's awesome.

I just downloaded the app for The Huffington Post

I know of no other collective news source that lets me in on the latest GOP candidacy tug of war, and has a section dedicated to Women. Anyway I love exploring all the blogs on Huff Post, I could spend hours. That's all I'm gonna say.
